Marathon Serenade

Cork, Ireland

I was walking along the River Lee with Dario, enjoying the fresh air and taking in the sight of beautiful swans on the river, while making sure to stay clear of the runners on the path. As we approached the Mardyke Bridge, we heard singing. The wonderful voice you hear belongs to Rory McCarthy. He came to support the marathon runners with song. Ireland is great that way — so much music!

  1. What a great find Katrina! Brilliant post

    1. Thanks, Ali! I really wanted the video to be set up in a narrative fashion, like a blog post. Alas, I did not have enough content, silly me! I should know to get more “B roll,” as they say. At least the important part — the sound — came out well. Not bad for a little point-and-shoot camera!
